From the Rapier Marshal

December was a slow month for us, with people being out of town and being with family. I do hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season. Now it is the start of a new year and with Gulf War only three months away, we are going to have to redouble our efforts to get rid of that turkey sluggishness and get ready for Gulf Wars. I'm still hoping to fulfill our goal of at least an eight man squad for Gulf Wars.

I encourage all rapier fighters to begin to show up to as many practices as possible so we can start working on squad tactics more. Remember we will be at the park Tuesdays and Thursdays.

If you haven't been out to practice but are interested, please come out we could always use another fighter. Or if you just want to come out and support your shire's fighters, we'd appreciate it.

In Service,

Darien Wylde, of the House Wylde

From the Fiber Guild

The Fiber Guild is meeting Wednesday night at 7:30 at Abigail and Diego's house.  Contact Abigail or Raisya for directions.  We are also hosting monthly Saturday meetings for fiber people in the Southern region.   We will probably have our next Saturday meeting in January, more details will follow on the e-mail list.

Any one is welcome to come, all you need is an interest in something fiber related.  We have supplies to teach spinning, weaving, knitting and needlework, and are happy to learn new crafts as well.
