May-

I am accepting applications for office and will be stepping down on June 30.  I will not reapply this time, if the office isn't filled and our group will have to look to outside sources.

Practice is Thursdays at 7:00 at the varsity tennis courts on A&M Campus. We will continue to meet through out the summer because there seems to be an interest in continuing practices.

Just a reminder that while rapier fighting can occur at any official SCA event, there needs to be an officer of the local group there in addition to a warranted rapier marshal in attendance or their deputy.

Lots of folks made it out to Steppes Warlord last weekend. Congrats to James to make it to the 5th round. At Kings college there will be lots of rapier based classes and Pennsic War is coming up. I'm planning on attending and encourage folks to come play too.

From the Chronicler

After discussing it with the Seneschal, I’m announcing a new publication date for The Shadow Knows. I will be going to press the Friday after Populace, with it going on-line the Monday after that. This will give me time to get and include the minuets of the meeting.

Also, please continue to send in things for me to print; with out any submissions this is a very short publication. Aside from official things such as officer reports, I would like to publish things such as: bardic pieces, event reports, a how to, an informative article about something in the Society, just about anything relevant to the SCA. I understand that there has been trouble with my e-mail, but that should have been fixed. If you still have a problem, please let me know. While I prefer to have things sent electronically so I can just cut and paste, I would far rather have it as a hard copy then not at all.

I’m also pleased to announce the appointment of Catan as the new Virtual Scribe (aka Web minister). She will be posting The Shadow Knows on-line and updating the website. She has already created pages for 2 of the upcoming events we are hosting: King’s Round Table, and Shadowlands’ 3rd 10th Year Celebration. A big thanks to her for all her work on it so far.
